What it's like
This photo story is from a 1-hour session with Kirsten Graff, a newly-licensed esthetician in San Francisco who wanted to get her services up and running quickly. We scheduled a 30-minute consultation call for me to understand her vision, choose an accessible location, and set a date for her friends to meet. We met up and had fun walking around the Golden Gate Bridge area snapping off portraits for her personal branding.

FAQ
Can I modify the route?
I am super excited if you have spots that are meaningful to you and would love to customize your route. Likewise, not everything is accessible for everyone—please make me aware of any disabilities that I should work with. I can advise what will fit into an hour.
When does our session begin and end?
We will set an itinerary ahead of the day. Our portrait experience hour begins as soon as we meet at the first agreed upon destination. The hour ends at the last destination. Please allow extra time for commuting.
What should I wear?
Wear what makes you feel great. Neutral colors are recommended. Choose shoes that are comfortable enough for the terrain. We can bring layers in case Karl rolls in. Some drizzle is fine, but we will need to reschedule in the case of inclement weather.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
Absolutely. If we are really feelin' the day, I can offer a discounted rate for additional time and photos.
What kind of gear do you use?
I shoot with a Canon R6 M2 and a zoom and a 50mm. I also sometimes create light with flash for extra drama, so yes, I might be carrying a few things.
How do I view or print photos?
You will receive a gallery of sneak peeks within 48 hours. I'll retouch a set number of finals. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your online gallery of edited high-res photos. You can download copies without a watermark with your unique pin code. You also will have access to Pixieset's shop for ordering prints, frames, and albums!
How much do you edit photos?
I retouch all finals to color correct, to lightly smooth skin, hair, and teeth, and to enhance the light.
How do we get started?
Check out the Bay Area Volume 01 Portrait Experiences page to select a session route. Please fill out the form on the Contact page to send me a message. I will then send you a proposal for the route, itinerary, date, and cost. We can hop on a 15-min intro call to confirm details. If you approve, I'll send a contract. I require 50% down to book the date.
